Claude Node Setup
Idiomatic Node.js and Fastify skills, commands, and quality-gate agents for JavaScript backend development.
This is a small but opinionated configuration bundle rather than a single skill: it ships nodejs and fastify skills side by side, since Node.js JavaScript conventions (ESM-only modules, the node: import prefix, async/await error propagation, feature-based folder layout) and Fastify-specific patterns (plugin authoring and encapsulation, JSON Schema validation, lifecycle hooks, setErrorHandler) are different enough that treating them as one generic “Node skill” tends to blur both. A pino skill covers structured logging conventions — log levels, child loggers with bound request context — that are easy to get inconsistent across a codebase without an explicit reference.
Beyond skills, the repository adds Claude Code commands (manually invoked workflows) and agents — autonomous subprocesses meant to run as quality gates rather than passive reference material, which is a step past what most single-purpose skill repositories offer. A documentation skill rounds it out, aimed at producing accurate technical docs alongside the code itself.
Everything installs by copying the relevant .claude/skills/, .claude/commands/, and .claude/agents/ directories into a project, making it straightforward to take only the Fastify or only the logging conventions rather than adopting the whole bundle at once.
